Today we providing the important news on Further EXTENSION OF DUE DATE OF FILING INCOME TAX RETURN for Assessment year 2015-16 for all the state.
Central government has extended the Due date for filing the income tax return to the 7th September for all the state earlier it has been extended only for the Gujarat state.
Notification for extension of Due Date –
CBDT wide notification no 119 of the income tax act, 1961 has extended the due date of filing income tax return for all the taxpayers from 31st August to 7th September 2015.
Due date extended third time in Assessment year 2015-16
For the return filing of the financial year 2014-15 and Assessment year 2015-16 Due date has been extended thrice.
First extension –

Second extension –
Due date is extended from 31st August to September 7, 2015 only for the Gujarat state. Extension Benefits not given to the other state
Third extension –
Due date is extended from 31st August to September 7, 2015 for all the state.
IMPLICATION OF EXTENSION OF DUE DATE BY CBDT ON 02 SEPTEMBER
(1)If assesses has file return filed on 01st and 02nd September before extension of the due date whether it will be considered as belated return?
In our opinion No, It will not considered as belated return as date extended for all the taxpayers.
(2) If interest under section 234 A has been paid on 01st and 02nd September
In our opinion assesse can file the return now and claim the refund of interest paid under section 234A.
